## Biography

After earning my BA in Math at Connecticut College, I worked in underwater sound propagation and submarine sonar (for companies consulting with the Navy), as well as the use of doppler radar at airports to predict dangerous weather, including microbursts and gust fronts (for a company consulting with the FAA).

I earned my MS in math at Tufts, writing a thesis on The Unique 4-Transitive Trivalent Graph of Girth 9, and started teaching here in my second year. These days, I often teach the Math of Social Choice, and other courses that are typically taken by non-math majors. I have a strong interest in math education, and have enjoyed working with both elementary and secondary certification candidates in the MAT programs here at Tufts.
